The science of the art of capoeira

Folha seca - TUTORIAL

Here Narcelio takes us step by step through Folha Seca, also known as Chuta na Lua also known as Kick the Moon. Not as hard as it looks but then again not totally easy either. This is not a beginner move and before attempting it you should have Au Sem Mao at least and experience in jumping then falling right on your face and not dying or breaking anything. Practice on a soft floor under professional supervision otherwise don't blame me for your injuries.

Folha Seca involves kicking one leg so damn hard while jumping that you flip right over and land on the leg you kicked with. It's a bit like kicking an invisible football ridiculously hard. The arms come into play too, it's all explained in the video.

I hope u enjoy this - it is the culmination of a long and arduous process, and yet it is really the beginning or rather the end of the beginning of the beginning, I traveled to Brazil just to film this movement series. If you enjoy this tutorial show your appreciation - rate and comment!

Nice one Luka

For sure. hit me up when you're back in Londres and show me where you're at. I'm training folha seca parafuso now. I manage to land on my feet most of the time!

Great tutorial!
