This is the most basic of an ongoing series of tutorials showing how to fight with capoeira in a currently "unconventional" way but in a way that is very functional effective and probably closer to the way my ancestors fought. I am certain that my ancestors didn't execute the ginga in any way resembling the modern ginga while fighting off slavers with guns whip knives dogs horses,etc. because the roda ginga is too nonfunctional for that kind of life and death scenarios that brave capoeiristas defying slavery,oppressive laws and also oftentimes (later durng the "maltas" period) while committing crimes and/or acting as bodyguards for various politicians.
