I noticed that a boy around his six years of age, he kept moving with the music, at every moment he was smiling and when someone went out to play he was even more happy, and I knew, that if we put him in the middle of roda he would kick his legs up, he would do cartwheel like a true capoeira. Said and done, I told a friend who called the boy to play and the boy went inside the roda doing cartwheel! Jumping up and down kicking his legs and having lots of fun as if he knew the game for years, “I learned that the art of capoeira leaves inside of us like a flame of fire, so in some people the fire is still asleep and has not woken up yet, but somehow with time capoeira puts the flame back on again and that fire will never go”. The boy had spontaneity he played with his heart; he understood capoeira better then many who have practiced for many years.
