Backflip

Your rating: Nenhum Average: 3.8 (23 votes)

This capoeira classic is also known as Palhaco, Xango, Pulo do gato [jump of the cat] and of course back-flip, flick, flic-flacs etc.

Here Queque of Grupo Engenho da Bahia, Salvador performs a series of excellent flicks, beginning with an au orgulho (or round-off) and ending with a mortal (somersault). Translated, palhaco means - clown, gato means - cat, meanwhile Xango - is the name of the Yoruban deity associated with Thunder, Lightning and Fire.
